Starting to doubt if my DD is getting enough BM

Hello. MY DD is 6 months, I am still mainly breastfeeding, but do give the odd bottle, often at night, as it seemed to cut down on the comfort sucking all through the night!!

Anyway, I have been having issues recently, that my DD is tired, and will go to sleep say 8ish, but wakes at least once an hour all evening. She is breastfed before bed and often when she wakes, as she screams otherwise.

Anyway, once or twice, me or DH has given her a bottle when she has woken. This is, no more than say 30mins after a breastfeed. And she drinks the whole bottle. I am starting to worry if she is not getting enough BM which is why she has started waking freqently.

HOWEVER, when this happen, I quickly checked if i had any milk, when I squeezed my nipple (sorry if TMI) and I did, but I know I wouldn't of got alot if I had expressed.

She used to only wake once or twice.

And she is on 3 meals a day, and has been for about 2 weeks or so.

Growth spurt? Reaction to solids? DS went through (many) phases of waking loads in his first year. Could also be teething?

If she;s hungry, feed her and your supply should catch up . And I would carry on feeding when she wakes at night at 6 months, she's still pretty small and could probably do with food at night.

Just checked and there is often a big growth spurt at 6 months, so could well be that. Did you go through something similar at about 3/4 months?

Its not the fact that she is feeding at night that bothers me, she is small and I am expecting to feed her at night for a good few months or more. I was just worried that she will still drink a full bottle AFTER a BF.

But you are right about it being the right time for a growth spurt.
