Expressing - how much do I feed him, and when should I try it?

I want to start expressing occasionally, but don't know where to start. (Well, I do, it's at the nipple...)

DS is three weeks old today. How much should I give him?

When should I try this? I fancy giving him a bottle of em at night so that I get a longer sleep, but it's a bit mean really to leave DH to it at 3am... He's really fractious in the evenings, so I'm assuming that's a bad time?

I have no idea how to go about this but I need to try it as I have a presentation to do next week and I need the backup option of expressed bottle!

Hi, I gave dd EBM at 2 weeks, I expressed 4oz initially and she eventually climbed to 7oz of EBM by 8 weeks!

I used to express after her first morning feed and she had the bottle just before bed.

Never made her sleep any longer (but they're all different!)

Good Luck
