SMA Progress gone AWOL?

Hi all,
My Tescos today didn't have any of my usual milk, the lady said it's been removed but could offer no further info. Is this permanent? I've got a few tins in, but what should I give instead? DS has only ever had SMA. I'm wondering whether to start giving him cows milk after the next two tins have run out, he's 10m. Any advice or ideas?

Wasn't there a scare with the cartons recently, and they were recalled? I think some were found to contain curdled milk.

Don't know where you are, but all my local stores (Herts/Beds borders) have plenty of that one in stock again but don't have any of the Aptamil that I need.

A few tins would last a 10mo a couple of weeks anyway, wouldn't they?

yes i think we'll be fine for a while so not too worried. should i bother seeking out some more, or shall i start the progression to cows milk?

MM - I think it was SMA gold that was affected IIRC.

just an aside...the cartons may have curdled but it was the powder i was after?

Our tesco has been the same - I was wondering why, had no SMA progress for thelast 2 weeks so i ed up getting some from Asda but am also contemplating just going over to cows milk! (DD is also 10 months)

zephy...have u asked anyone what they think about switching to cows milk?

I asked on here and most people said they waited til a year but I know that I switched DS over to cows milk at 10 months - I couldn't remember about the others but I'm sure it was roughly 10 months-ish and they've all been fine
