FF baby whimpering, arching back and refusing milk. reflux?

ds is 19wks and for the last week or so has started being sick several times a day, about a breakfast spoonfull, and its curdled.

he is also whimpering, arching his back and turning his head away during feeds, its a real struggle to get 4oz down him and he is having about 20oz a day.

ive tried giving him gripe water before feeds, calgel incase its his teeth and none of it works.

does this sound like reflux? ive been to the GP before with the same symptoms(except vomiting) and was basicly fobbed off so i want to have an idea of what it could be before i go back.

DS had silent reflux and had the same symptoms.

Back arching and turning the head away (there is actually a proper name for this but can't remember it sorry) are classic symptoms of reflux.

GP's are pretty clueless though IME when it comes to reflux and are dismissive of it altogether if the child is gaining weight.

I did a lot of research on the internet and printed as many things off as I could and went armed with these to the GP.

Be persistent, there are medications that can help although GPs are usually limited in what they can prescribe.

Push for a referral to specialist if you need to.

It sounds very like my DD3, and the general MN verdict was 'Silent Reflux'.
