Formula for 6/7month old- Sma gold or progress

Hello. My DD is mainly breastfed, but has some formula, usually between 4-10oz a day in total, the rest breast. She currently has SMA gold, which says 0-12months. I am coming to the end of the tin and wondered if it is best to give the gold or the pregress (red tin) which says from 6 months.

What is best? Its so confusing! Can you do both, or should you stick to the one? They are both the same brand. I have alot of the gold cartons for when we are out for the day, can I still use these if I move onto progress? Or should I use them up first and then buy the red ones? I dont use them very often so would be annoying to have to use them up.

Anyway, whats best to use? She will probably be 7 months by the time I buy some more.

Hello, theres a lot about this on here atm. I asked a similar question the other day.
Afaik, 'progress', and 'Step Two' milks are a marketing scam, just so that the formula companies can advertise.
The second milks have more iron in I think, but this iron isnt actually absorbed anyway.
Its fine to stay on with the first milk Im sure, but you need Tiktok really, as she seems to know all there is to know about formula and bm.

I switched to the progress one at about 7m - its def thicker. Apparently it concentrates the nutrients in less milk so you can wean successfully as they aren't full of milk all the time.

Don't know if thats actually true but ds seems none the worse for it.

Is the price the same? Out of interest?
