Gosh, just seen this article about public bf-ing being described as lazy!

How rude.

Quite funny really that somebody could be so small minded. I wonder what he was raised on?

He was raised by loving, caring, nurturing parents. Can't you tell? His IQ is seriously lacking.

Why does he care? Berk. He's got too much time on his hands to rant about bfing in public. It's really not comparable to masturbation. How can feeding/eating be the same thing?

BFing is lazy actually. I don't have to sterilise, remember to carry bottles or anything. Brilliant. Suits me down to the ground.

Best he keeps within the US then, though somebody think he must be funny with numerous Emmy nominations

kkdmom · 30/06/2008 12:53

er, starlight, but bfing is the ultimate in convenience food, imo.

FairyMum · 30/06/2008 12:54

Breastfeeding is like masturbation?
funny how many people think they are so clever and make such excellent points when they liken breatsfeeding to masturbating or going to the loo in public

Did you see this on the comments at the end from some bloke called John:

"Of Course it is inappropriate things to do !!!! It's same as someone masturbating in public........so if u women are raped while breast-feeding don't start crying !!!!"

[head in hands emoticon]

OrmIrian · 30/06/2008 13:17

Twat!

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 30/06/2008 13:19

bunch of knobs

or should I say wankers?

reality though, how much do you think he actually knows about the benefits of BF? Zero I suspect

Plan the day around BF? ds4 feeds 2 hourly, wouldnt give me long would it?

BroccoliSpears · 30/06/2008 13:21

The guy's a dickhead. Let's not give him any more publicity than he already has.

Twelvelegs · 30/06/2008 13:28

Wow what another clever shock jock, rhymes with cock.

ilovemydog · 30/06/2008 13:31

he's usually a funny guy .

twelvelegs is right - he's a shock jock and the whole idea is to get people (mothers!) all wound up....

ChukkyPig · 30/06/2008 13:32

I suspect that "John" was doing a little trolling, as why else would he be leaving inflamatory comments on a webiste which is aimed so squarely at women.

That's what I hope anyway, as any explanation for what he said is better than that's what he actually believes.

As for the comedian bloke, never heard of him, he sounds like an arse though.

SparklyGothKat · 30/06/2008 13:36

I BF because I am lazy lol!! I don't have to sterille bottles, make up bottles, and I can take a tiny bag with a nappy and wipes and go out. I admit that Bf is a lazy option for me lol

SparklyGothKat · 30/06/2008 13:37

oh and I don;t have to get up in the night, walk downstairs into a cold kitchen and make up bottles, I pick up Callum, take him into my bed, latch him on and fall asleep.. BF is great!!!

littlepig · 30/06/2008 13:45

The comments shock me far more than the comedian - he's got a job to do and attracting attention by whatever mens is part of it therefore, as mentioned already, not indulging him with the attention is probably the best course of action however "John" and his anonymous friend clearly have some serious personal issues...

MKG · 30/06/2008 13:54

Here breastfeeding is a protected right in all 50 states.

He can say whatever he likes about it and it won't make a difference. Because he's on HBO and not a network, he gets away with saying more.
The bottom line is, it's a woman's right to breastfeed wherever she likes, and it's also his right to say what he wants about it.

It's also convenient that we can't watch the clip so we're basically taking the writers word for how inflammatory he was.

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 30/06/2008 14:40

i inda agree mkg (though equaly our right to say what we want about him!) but God forbid 'john' is sitting next to me next time I bf in public....
