Does anybody out there have any suggestion on how to deal with baby on breast absolutely constantly from about 2 am onwards until getting up time???

DS3 is now 14 weeks, he is obviously not feeding all that time but likes to use me as a dummy and unfortunately, constant butterfly licks keep me awake and uncomfortable because I cannot change position without wakening him. He seem quite happy with this arrangement, but I am NOT! Please nobody say this is a growth spurt - he has been doing this from day 1 (well, maybe day 3..) and I was hoping it would settle with time, but so far, no.

Any advice much appreciated.
PS He is gaining wt + developing and I do not have any problems with sore nipples/blocked ducts etc., so we must be doing something right as well...

well, apparently cluster feeding in the morning is fairly common, although you tend to hear about it going on more often in the evening.

I don't know that there is much you can do, aside from hoping he'll grow out of it. but if it's any consolation mine does it too!!

ds3 did this. I slept with him - in the end was so knackered that slept through it all. I did put a bedbar on the side of my bed so I didn't worry about him falling out or getting squashed by dh. That made it a bit easier. Poor you - much sympathy.

Yes, tea and sympathy does help, thanks.
