How are exclusively breastfeeding mums managing leaks when baby sleeps longer?

Hey all!
I was just wondering what we are all doing as EBF mummas who's babys are sleeping longer through the night? My baby normally feeds every 2-3 hours but has recently started sleeping longer around 4-6 hours a night and I am waking up with leaks through my pj top and on my bedding most nights, I am not sure how to combat this? Any ideas?

Soft nursing bra and breast pads. Reusable washable ones. And sleeping on a towel. And spare PJ tops.

Your body will respond and adjust quite quickly!

I always wore a sleep bra with reusable breastfeeding pads.

Yes breast pads. I used the washable ones last time. First night I still leaked but adapted pretty quickly, I’d be surprised if you had issues for more than a few nights.

Reusable pads. I used disposable ones too for a while. The reusable ones worked out cheaper.

I used pads too and put a folded towel underneath the sheet.

Hopefully your body will adjust pretty quickly Smile

Around 3 months, DS started sleeping through a good 6-7 hour stretch. But only random nights, never 1-2 nights in a row so not enough for my supply to adjust. I needed to sleep so so badly. I was broken. But because he normally fed every 3 hours, my boobs were incredibly full and extremely painful.

I remember sobbing by my baby's crib as he was sleeping but I couldn't. By the time I expressed some milk for my own comfort, I would be awake and it would take me another hour to fall asleep at least (I have a condition which means I'm in some pain 24/7 so falling asleep is not easy for me). 1 hour later DS would wake up. That was THE WORST time of breastfeeding.

Thank you all, as you stated my supply seems to have understood the assignment and sorted itself out and adjusted! Our bodies really are so clever aren't they?! 👏🏻
