Hello. Does anyone have any clue what could be going on…
I have a 4 month old who I've been aiming to EBF but I’ve had to give formula on occasions due to not having enough of a supply on some days - likely due to lack of food or water I’ve had that day when busy looking after another toddler. Probably do 1 - 3 4oz bottles a week of formula (so I guess not EBF?!).
Anyway, in the day (everyday) my baby is so sick and uncomfortable. Like projectile up to hours after breast milk, squirming in pain. She burps well in the day. But at night (feed before bed), and the roughly 2 feeds between 7pm - 6am she’s fine. She feeds, burps, straight to sleep and no issues. Then first feed of the day she’s back to being sick and uncomfortable.
She also doesn’t seem bad after formula no matter what time of day I give this to her. So it’s just daytime feeds?
Anyone got any advice?
TIA

That does seem odd. Have you introduced and solids yet?

No solids yet. Will be waiting another 2 months before I start weaning. After a bit of research it could be my letdown makes her sick?! Or have I gone down a rabbit hole now

I had a very 'sicky' EBF baby - he also had colic, but what we found was that what I was eating had a definite effect on him and pain levels - this confirmed by my GP who did a house call after one particularly awful episode. Garlic and spicy food really affected my breast milk.

Oh interesting, thank you! Maybe I need to keep a log of what I’m eating and if she’s affected the following days? Thank you
