Microwaving a bottle.

My daughter is going to be on the ferry for a long time and they only have a microwave to heat her bottles. We are already on holiday and can’t buy anything new.

my question is how long do I put it in for? It will be a 7oz bottle. I’m not looking for judgement as I wouldn’t normally do this but sometimes you have no other choice.

Just do it for maybe 30 seconds at a time as it can get too hot very quickly.

I would warm it in 10 second blasts, swirl the bottle every time you stop the clock, test it on inside of wrist, back in for another 10 seconds. Better to have it not-cold than too hot. Be careful as hot spots are a thing with microwaving.

Make sure you shake it well and test it before feeding.
Do you have access to boiling water? (Cafe?bar?) - might be an easier, safer way of heating it

20 seconds, test on wrist then 10 seconds increments if needed. Once you know how long a bottle takes in that particular microwave (they seemed to vary even when they shouldn't), you can be a bit more confident with timings. But always check, always swirl or shake, and always err on the side of caution. Then it's a really easy and quick way to reheat them.

Will she not accept it cold or room temp? I never warmed bottles (FF from 3 months).

I could you take a thermos flask of hot water and a plastic jug?
