Colic babies

Hello, my baby is 9 weeks old and seems to be suffering horrifically with colic or potentially silent reflux I think… he’s been on standard aptimel formula, then went over to cow and gate anti reflux formula, then was back to normal cow and gate formula, then the Dr prescribed aptimil pepti 1 and has now told me to go and get a lactose free formula, we’ve tried gripe water, infacol etc and nothing seems to be working, he might get a little bit of relief but he is still suffering badly with belly aches (it seems) loads of trapped wind, arching back and screaming in the middle of feeds, hiccups, explosive poo’s but is never sick… has anyone else experienced this and found anything that works for there little one?

One of my babies suffered dreadful colic and I found that sitting him upright on my knee while feeding helped (this would work with bottle also I guess, same in theory) and also I very afternoon I’d lie him on his back and do cycling movements with his legs. It maybe that this just took his mind off the discomfort at least for me it stopped the screaming briefly. It all magically stopped at 12 weeks. I am sorry you’re going through this. It’s so awful and feels relentless.

It definitely does, I’m hoping it’s something he grows out of as we’ve done it all, sitting him upright, keeping him up for at least 20 minutes after a bottle etc, nothing seems to work! The only thing the dr hasn’t really looked at properly is reflux.. so it’s worth a mention to them I think! It is really frustrating, just wish I could find something to help him!
