Return of wind - help

My dd is now 14 weeks old and i thought we had beaten the wind a couple of weeks ago as she has been burping herself after feeds day and night. A week ago she suddenly started getting windy again particularly in the night and will cry and not settle for hours.I just can't get her to bring it up despite all the back rubbing/sitting on knee/sucking on dummy. I've restarted the infacol and gripe water treatment but am scared this might do damage to her intestines as she'll have been taking the stuff for a good few weeks now... Please tell me it's ok to keep using them... is it normal for wind to return?? Help i need some sleep!

infacol is not a medicine. It doesn't work on the gut. It works on the air in the stomach. It should not affect your baby's health in any way to continue to use it. You can ask the chemist about this, and about gripe water, for reassurance on this.
