I'm looking after my friends little girl this morning - need to make up her bottle for a 10am feed but how many scoops of formula to add? My baby is breast fed and I'm normally given the right amount by my friend, rather than a big pot. I'm pretty sure it's aptamil she uses. (Can't speak to her at the mo).

Any suggestions?? Thank you xxx

How old is the baby?

HeadFairy · 23/06/2008 09:29

It's usually one scoop per ounce of water, ie 7 fl oz of water = 7 level scoops of formula.

You add a scoop of formula for every oz of water if that helps.

oh, she's nearly 10 months old, if that helps...

I'd do about 8 oz of water and 8 scoops of formula unless she's already given you a ottle full of water then it's a scoop per oz.

that's what i thought- but didn't want to do without checking first... thank you for nearly instant responses!!
