Lip tie?

My daughter is nearly 5 months old and been a difficult feeder from the start. She struggles to latch makes clicking noises when feeding and milk pours out the side of the mouth. She has a hoarse voice 6 weeks ago and gp sent us to see ent but they wernt interested in difficulty latching and said she had a viral infection.

6 weeks on and she’s still struggling to latch although is feeding but it’s slower and a lot pours out her mouth her lip curls under rather than over when feeding too.

does this look like a lip tie? Is it worth going g back to gp or is it something that she’ll grow out of

Yes. Yes. Possibly but it’s worth pursuing

It does look like a lip tie and they are very rare without a tongue tie also being present. It might be worth talking to someone like Milk Matters or a Tongue Tie Practitioner Flowers
