do i need to??

out with my ante-natal gals. a few bottles of vino between us.

am home now. pumped already, its in the fridge do i need to dump it??

No, you don't have to. To put it into context it would be like pumping your blood to clean it (apart from the fact it would kill you) as milk is made to order. You could keep on pumping it and it will have the same amount of alcohol in it until it's cleared from your system.

Your milk has the same amount of alcohol in it as your blood does, which is a very small amount. If your LO doesn't wake up for feeds then your milk should be completely clear by morning. Even if your LO wakes up before it's cleared it shouldn't be a problem.

The milk you have pumped is probably OK but if you really feel bladdered what I tend to do is to divide it into individual ounces and dilute it with non-alcoholic milk at a later date.

Unless you feel uncomfortable you don't need to pump at all after a night out.
