Advise please… Hi! My little one is 6 month old on Wednesday last week I tried her with a bit of veg every day at tea time gave her bit mushed and some finger pieces. Then this week I wanted to start giving her a meal at tea time so she had chicken curry and rice out of the what mummy makes book she loved it can’t tell you how much she actually ate though 😂
Although tonight she’s only drank 2oz so our day today has gone like this…
7:30am - 5oz
11:00am - 6oz
4:00pm - 6oz (this was longer as she fell asleep on the school run she was content though)
5:00pm - curry
7:00pm - 2oz out of 6oz
Total of - 19oz / 550ml

I have been giving her a dream feed since she’s been born pretty much as she’s on the lower end of her daily amount of milk after her dream feed she normally has a total of 700ml-800ml a day but surly I don’t have to do the dream feed until she’s 1? (She sleeps through without it)
I’m just worried that she’ll carry on not drinking a lot before bed which will drop her low all day.

If she’s sleeping through stop giving her a df

i would also give her lunch as the main meal while starting to wean rather then tea

11am to 4pm strikes me as too long to go without any food/drink. The natural thing to do would be bottle at 11, lunch at 12pm then a nap. Don’t worry about dinner just yet.

The dream feed is to pre empt and avoid an early hours wake. If she sleeps through either way it’s not needed and you can stop.

@Bitzee It was only a one off as she was asleep on the school run I normally don’t let her go longer than 4 hours.
I don’t know how that would work with naps as atm I go with her lead but she’s roughly around 9:00-9:30/10:00 wake 2 hours then nap after her second bottle at 11:30/12 (this one we normally do on a walk and is her longer nap of the day between 1hour - 1 hour and half
