Milk Preparation - are we doing it right?

My baby girl is on nutramigen 1 milk and gaviscon. We were told to make the bottles up as we normally would ie boiling water etc. I’ve just read online that nutramigen 1 milk needs the water to be cooled to a certain temp as it kills the probiotics !!!!

will my baby be ok?? I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks and have only just realised it should be a different way☹️ also she is due to be weaned back onto cows milk formula in 10 days to determine if in fact she definitely does have a milk allergy, how will this work? Will I have to prepare the cows milk formula separately then mix it into the nutramigen?

im so overwhelmed with this whole process I wish for nothing more than her to be able to feed without all of these other issues it’s making things so difficult as we have a 23 month old too. I feel so awful for her I wish there was more we could do to get her through this quicker.

She'll be fine! It won't have done her any harm. Good luck with the transition.

Thank you so much, we’ve actually changed her milk but still no further forward :(

I think this is a hydrolysed formula. If this one isn’t suiting you could ask for a different one. I’d also be tempted to ask for a referral to the Allergy Clinic.

Has LO been referred to a Paediatric Dietitian yet and have they been checked for Tongue Tie as this can cause reflux like symptoms.
