Well done! sounds like you've had it tough.

Don't do anything much to them - you can express a tiny bit to relieve the pressure, but if DS carries on sleeping through like this they'll settle down on their own.

magic things, boobs.

well done, papaya.
You are quite right to feel proud of yourself.

LMD's advice is excellent.

Fab that you're getting the sleep, and you're right to feel proud for getting this far after all that.

I thought my boobs would explode the first time DS slept through, but as LittleMy said, they magically adjust. I would sometimes hand express just to take the pressure off so to speak.

Wow - did you do anything to help her go that long? My Dd is 7 weeks and can now go about 5 hours (and I wake up with engorged boobs after that long). What's the secret to even longer sleep by 3 months?

LittleMyDancing · 17/06/2008 19:56

thank you Scuff! May I have a gold star?

papaya - my DD also sleeps this long (8 weeks!!) - I found sleeping in my bra helped the first few nights - especially when turning over in bed etc

thanks ladies & littlemydancing will probably express a little for comfort and also keep the bra on and hope they settle down a bit!!

hi sallycinnamonhere I haven't done anything different, just 3 weeks ago (or thereabout) ds was still going 2 hourly even through the night!!!!!!! I just don't know what's changed, but i'm not complaining !!! Just hoping it lasts xx

(hmmmm, he still feeds two hourly in the day though, so maybe he's getting lots in the day to keep him going through the night now hes a bit older??)
