Hi all, just wanted to let people know what my experience of aldi formula was. My baby girl started off on cow & gate prepared. Unfortunately we couldn't use the powered cow & gate due to the recall and we couldn't find any in the shops. So my husband brought some formula from Aldi. I was also pumping but couldn't produce enough milk for her. So for a week she was on an increasing amount of aldi formula and on Monday she only had aldi formula. The result was she became increasing unhappy, not sleeping, constantly crying, constipated and ended with explosive diarrhoea which wouldn't stop. This ended with her going to A&E very scary. I didn't give her anymore aldi formula.
I luckily messaged my 2 friends with newborns who had also started using aldi formula and their newborns had been very unhappy with explosive diarrhoea on Aldi formula too. Since stopping using the aldi formula she is the happiest baby and sleeping so well at night!!
I know lots of babies gets on well with aldi formula. But just wanted to raise awareness incase anyone has a similar experience. We have all reported it to aldi and not got any response back.
