Hi,

My baby is 3.5 months

currently he’s on 6 x 5oz bottles per day,

currently -

Feed 1 7:30am (generally when he wakes)
Feed 2 11am
Feed 3 2:30pm
Feed 4 5:30pm
Feed 5 8:30pm (then put him to bed)
Feed 6 11:30pm (we wake him for this)

Ive read we shouldn’t be waking him for his 11:30pm feed and it’s only babies not at birth weight who need woken to feed?

I can up his 5 other bottles to 6oz so he’s getting the same intake.

do we stop waking him at 11:30pm?
im worried he will then wake at 5am, but others have said he might just sleep through?
we every night wake him up for the feed.

thanks

I went by the advice (from my mum) never to wake a sleeping baby to feed. If he’s gaining weight, it shouldn’t be a problem but he may wake earlier. Try it and see - he’ll let you know when he’s hungry. Good luck!

Never wake a sleeping baby is my rule of thumb but possibly expect an earlier wake up if he gets hungry

Just try it and see!
