Rage hormones after stopping breastfeeding?

I stopped breastfeeding my 2 and a bit year old a week ago. The first couple of days I was happy and full of energy, had one bit emotional day but today I have been full of rage. I shouted at both my kids twice today (obviously feel awful about this) and have zero patience and couldn’t handle loud, messy, normal children.

If anyone else has experienced similar how long did it last? I’m 43 so wondering if it’s just hormones settling back to normal or perimenopause. I don’t remember this happening with my older child but it was 8.5 yrs ago!

It was a couple of weeks for me. My sleep also went to total shit which didn't help my mood in the day either. It did settle though.

Oh god, two weeks!! I am going to have to try so hard not to snap at the kids in my classes! DH will have to take the brunt.

I am meant to be eating less crap from last week too as I’ve put on a couple of stone since pre pregnancy, so was using this as new beginning. However, I am a snappy cow when not eating too much chocolate. Maybe I need to delay the diet start for everyone’s sake!
