Green poo. Dairy intolerant?

Help please. Dd is 12 weeks old.

At 8 weeks HV suggested a dairy intolerance because I said she was often unsettled when awake. She is a very gassy baby and her poos have an odd (bad) smell - nothing like the sweet baby poo smell we had from 3 other dc.

I held off giving up dairy (I wasn’t sure that was the cause and was disorganised with getting relevant dairy substitutes) and things seemed to improve.

However, this week she has been unsettled again, and looks to be uncomfortable. She now also has green poos but does have a cold.

Does this sound like a dairy intolerance? I will start dairy free tomorrow if so.

thank you.

Could be. Could also be high supply. What’s her weight gain like? Any other symptoms dairy issues eg rash, blood in poo etc

Are you eating a lot of sweet things? Both mine were sensitive to me eating sugar. I have a sweet tooth (had, long since stopped) and kept wanting cream cakes and chocolate. Health visitor said cut back on sugar, I did and it stopped

Thank you.

@TheDisillusionedAnarchist Weight gain was slow - she dropped from 50th centile at birth to 9th at 3 weeks. She maintained 9th centile at 8 weeks I will attempt to get her weighed on Monday. No blood in poo. She has eczema type skin, similar to one of her brothers so I hadn’t connected that to dairy.

@gototogo that is interesting- half term this week and I haven’t had time for breakfast or lunch most days and have survived on sugar. Back to normal eating next week!
