What's reasonable?

LO is 5 months old, EBF but will tolerate bottle from Dad so I am doing a low risk KIT day (training so no impact if I need to leave should LO refuse to feed for Dad). What is reasonable to request re time to pump?

Boss is supportive. I have access to space, fridge etc. When I spoke with my boss it was impossible to predict where LO would be re feeding so we left it a bit open-ended amd regretting that now.

Workplace policy just says reasonable adjustments must be made. Is it reasonable to push to follow LO usual day? It would be 3 feeds which would equate to 90mins off for prep and pumping. That feels a bit excessive. Am I better just trying to manage 2 sessions? LO generally feeds for around 3hrs a day if that's relevant.

For a 5-month baby I don't think it's essential to pump at the same times you would normally feed - it's not like the early days, when you are establishing breastfeeding and don't want to risk messing up your supply. The important thing is that you don't start to feel overfull and uncomfortable. I think twice would be ok for that? You know your body though.

I think I am more concerned about being overfull than messing up supply. Supply has always been excessive and even since it started to regulate a bit more I still need to pump a few times a week to avoid being engorged 😬 Glad to know I am not crazy thinking 2 sessions should work. Hopefully I can just work it fluidly 🤞
