Warning ‼️ poo pic ‼️possible CMPA????

DS is nearly 5 weeks.
Had perfect poos until about a week and a half ago.
Im EBF him but he has had 2 bottles of formula since born.
Poo has been weird ever since…..
Spoke to HV who said it could be an intolerance.
Just feeling really down, I was toying with stopping BF anyway as find it mentally draining.
Sorry for the rant, just wanted it written down and someone to talk to ☹️

HVs and GPs massively over diagnose CMPA.

Poo is different on formula, as it is processed very differently to breast milk. It’s also not unusual for the first bottles to cause a bit of a difference while the tummy gets used to processing it.

You could try a different brand - Kendamil Organic is often considered the softest choice, due to how it’s made and the lack of fish oil, although it’s quite expensive. Most baby formulas are pretty equal in nutrients by law, so it’s just finding a formula that works best for him, if you don’t want to EBF.

He had 2 bottles of Aptamil but I was considering moving him onto Kendamil.
I just feel hopeless with the breastfeeding at the moment. I’m cutting out dairy but not sure if that’s the right thing to do or not x
