Hi

I’m really just looking anyone similar (yes I know all baby’s are different) I’m now formula feeding my son after bf for two months with top ups.
I switched as he just wasn’t gaining weight and bare to be disappointed at every weigh in.

Anyway he was always feeding from me then taking 4/5 ounce top ups after quickly progressed to 7oz at 3months 4hourly then began looking for more and was draining every bottle so added in an extra bottle so was back to three hourly.
He’s a big long baby with some rolls but all n all I wouldn’t say massive was following his centile at last weigh in was born nearly 9lb.
Hes now five months and a bit and have started weaning as he is a hungry boy as now have 5 x 9oz bottles a day and have introduced breakfast which he seems to have taken too well.

Really im just wondering was anyone else’s baby as hungry as mine?

Thank you!

I’d say he’s having slightly less milk than he needs? 8.7 kilos is just over 19 pounds.

According to the NHS she sound be havibg 2.5 Floz per day per pound in weight so that’s 47.5 Floz a day rather than the 45 he’s getting now.

Could you stop the weaning and get a couple more ounces of formula into him instead?

Thanks I could certainly give him more but I think that much in one go will cause him to bring it back up. Just felt it was a large amount but if I tried more frequently with smaller ounces he just screams for the rest haha.

My daughter was totally different so I guess they never are the same.
