Leaking at night

Hi all. I'm struggling with leaking milk overnight both during and between feeds and finding it very unpleasant waking up with a wet top. I'm sleeping on a towel and have tried putting a muslin in my top but they don't hold enough and I leak through. I tried sleeping in a soft, stretchy bra with my last baby but ended up with mastitis so I want to sleep with no bra. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Baby is 3 months but doesnt seem to be improving much

Sorry I don’t have any advice as I think I’d stopped leaking by then.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who can help Flowers

Supply does settle and change regularly - have you tried specific sleep bras? They’re much softer then you can wear pads rather than a muslin. The reusable ones were very absorbent.

Yes but I don't wear a bra at night so there is nothing to keep them in place

I think if you are going braless (my phone did not want to type that word !!!) then you will have to carry on with making do with laying on absorbent towels. A nice soft sleep bra will hold breast pads (even a super absorbent sanitary pad cut in half each side, bit cheaper/bigger?). When i was at peak leak i used to put a breast cup in the bra on both sides and trained myself not to roll into my tummy. Still laid on a towel just in case but was mostly all good. Just emptied the cups in the morning.

I slept on washable bed wetting pads. Aldi had some and they were fab. Wide enough for a single bed so I relan it length wise which gave me plenty of coverage.

It will settle eventually. Though for me its a thing I get just after my period dunno why.

It might settle for you soon. My baby has just turned 12 weeks and as of the last couple of days I have gone from waking up with my whole top soaked in milk and lying on a wet sheet to just round patches around my boobs. Still annoying but a bit less soggy!
