NUBY RAPID COOL CLEANING

Hi everyone! I normally use the hot shot method when making my babies bottles but yesterday my partner accidentally put the powder straight into the 5oz of water so then he used the rapid cool to cool it down meaning now I’ve got to sterilise my rapid cool. How do you do this? I don’t want to buy a nuby steriliser and I don’t own any cold water steriliser or anything like that as we use mam bottles and do them in the microwave.

Also another question when using the hot shot method do you just screw the lid on ready for next time or leave it to dry in between feeds? And should I be sterilising it every now and again?

We used to wash out in hot soapy water then pour boiling water in ours.

My baby is over 6 months now. When he was younger we would fill with water and Milton sterilising tablet inside x

We made the formula up in the rapid cool, measuring in boiling water with an electronic scale (we found the internal line markings hard to see with tired eyes). We then washed them in hot soapy water and sterilised them with cold water and a Milton tablet.

Anything that has had formula in or has been in baby’s mouth should be sterilised. We submerged the rapid cool in one of these for 15 minutes: https://amzn.eu/d/0215DXD

It came in handy when travelling as we couldn’t rely on a microwave for sterilising when staying overnight in a hotel, but every hotel room has a cold tap.
