Bottle feeding advice

Hi all,

I currently have a 3.5 week old who is formula fed. She is on Kendamil Organic. She is using Tommee Tippee bottles.

More often than not she is dribbling lots of milk when feeding which is causing more gas. She has been looked at for tongue tie and I’ve had a look and I don’t think she has this.

Can anyone suggest any better bottles for poor latch or any other suggestions? She isn’t showing any signs of colic etc and doesn’t spit up her milk but I don’t want her to be in unnecessary discomfort and she is obviously not getting a full bottle.

My first child was EBF so bottle feeding has been a minefield to me!

Thank you xx

Some bottle fed babies do just dribble a lot. I have a one year old on my books who dribbles at least half an oz if a 5oz bottle. A rubber teat just isn’t as mouldable as the natural. Saying that even some breastfed dribble when feeding at such young ages. If no tounge tie and baby happy and growing then honestly try not to worry

Hey my little girl was tongue tied - awful 😢 she would soak through so many bibs and she was so unhappy on the bottle.
we used tomee tippee bottles and we didn’t realise it until we had a consultation with the tongue tie nurse that they’re not brilliant teats.

we were recommend lanshinoh bottles and that was a game changer so much better for our little girl.

Our daughter had her tongue dealt with and absolutely loves her bottle now x

I saw a lactation consultant to try and get my bf baby to take bottles and she said the bottles she recommended were lanisol or mam bottles. She actually specifically said not tommy tippee.
