BF Help- DD not willing to take boob

DD is 14 weeks old. Bf been hard, but since 8 weeks old its gotten a lot easier, and felt I'd gotten the hang of it.

DD always had a favourite side (left), but for the last couple of days she's been refusing to take the right boob. She's ok in the morning for her first feed, she'll take right side no problems. But later on in the day she refuses the right side. If she does latch on, its only for a minute, and then she'll come off screaming, and arching her back. It doen't matter whether I start with the right side or not.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Try using the rugby hold: keep her on her left side as if you're going to give her the left boob but tuck her under your right arm like a rugby ball and give her the right. It helps if you put a pillow next to you for her to lie on.

Or try lying down to feed, just keep her on her preffered side and switch boobs. If you need to raise her up to get the right one use a pillow.

DD used to do this and it was really uncomfortable for me as my left side would get horribly full up. I think she was having early teething pains or something. It would always pass in a day or so but in the meantime those two positions were pretty useful.
