1 month old and new unwashed bottle

DH has fed our 1 month old with formula in a new mam bottle out of the pack. I asked if he washed the bottle before sterilising it but he said no and he just sterilised it. I'm now worried baby is going to get sick.

baby is breastfed apart from a bit of formula once a week so I can be with the older kids while DH looks after the baby.

we have been using pre-made bottles of formula with the pre made sterilised teats but ran out of those teats this week and just have a couple of bottles of premade formula. I had a rough night last night so DH took her to is morning after I breastfed her.

DH brings her up 2 hours later and proudly announces he fed her using the new mam bottle. He's never used the steriliser before so I have no idea how thorough he's been.

any advice? I've told him if he wants to bottle feed that's fine but he needs to read up about it rather than just pouring pre made formula into a bottle and hoping for the best.

If he’s sterilised the bottle you will all be absolutely fine.

The bottle was clean, probably sterilised to an extent, the milk was fresh.

It is highly unlikely there will be a problem.

Thank you for the reassurance
