Introducing bottle

I’m trying to introduce a bottle to my little ones bedtime routine. When BF they would typically feed for 10-15 minutes at this time. The last 4 nights they’ve taken about 1.5oz then started playing with the bottle.

I’m at a loss of how to get them to take a proper feed. It’s been 2.5 hours (they feed every 2/2.5 hours normally), I’ve tried BM and formula bottles at this time.

they must be hungry 🤦‍♀️

A BF baby takes roughly 25 Floz in 24 hours so 1.5 Floz is a feed. BF babies simply don’t need the huge amounts of milk that a FF baby has to ingest to be fed as your milk changes to suit their needs Smile

Yeah I know they don’t take as much per feed…but when I’m expressing 8oz at that time I’d expect more than 1.5oz?

where did you get the 25oz from?

How much expressed milk will my baby need? • KellyMom.com

Many mothers wonder how much expressed breastmilk they need to have available if they are away from baby. In exclusively breastfed babies, milk intake increases quickly during the first few weeks of life, then stays about the same between one and six...
