Hi all,
Just looking for some re-assurance really... Every book I read pretty much says babies should be increasing their milk intake as they get bigger. Well, DS seems to be stuck on a certain amount... He takes anything from 22-30 oz a day... 24-27 being average. He was 15 weeks yesterday. He hasn't increased his milk intake at all since I started records at about 8 weeks. He's putting on weight fine - was born at 9%, dropped to 2% and now just below 50% line.
He is such a pickle to feed too... He's taking about 6-7 feeds a day and the amount can be anything from 3-6 oz. Everyone seems to have babies that take 6-7 oz bottles at the moment 4-5 times a day. Other than the constant sterilising of bottles, I am just so worried he isn't eating enough. He is FF by the way (was BF was 4 weeks and then mixed fed for another 2 weeks before going FF). Also, he goes to bed at 7pm, he gets a DF at 11pm and usually he sleeps till 5-6am (sometimes 7am) and even after that stretch, he would only take 4 oz for his first feed. Should I just stop worrying? Just want to hear from other mommies whose babies just don't take that much milk but are growing fine? Thanks!
