How do you know if your DC is self weaning?

DD has just turned a year old. She has 3 milk feeds a day (all 3 are breast feeds on weekends, and only morning and evening during the week).
Yesterday, she had no feeds at all but I put it down to tiredness as she fell asleep at 5pm.
Tonight she refused the breast before bedtime.
Is she self weaning?

I did want her to self wean, but deep down I had been hoping she would continue breastfeeding until she was two.
Any thoughts?

Sounds more like a nursing strike at that age. Any chance she has an ear infection? Teething?

Possibly teething as she's dribbling a lot.
Don't think it's nursing strike, but will re-read stuff on kellymom about them when I get back from dropping her off at nursery.

Maybe she did just have sore gums yesterday, then.

And nursing strike seems to be helpfully and circularly defined as "refusing to nurse for some reason other than self-weaning".

ooh, yes, just re-read article on nursing strikes on kellymom, and indeed it was a nursing strike because of teething.
(I was reluctant to go on a nursing strike because when she went on one before it was entirely my fault because I had yelled out when she bit me).

In any case, no dribbling today and she's back to normal nursing - had a full breast feed before bedtime.

Agree on the nursing strike, think its unusual for babies of that age to self wean fully, think there are usually other reasons, was going to suggest checking kellymom too but am too late...
