Baby girl is 5 months old and has had oral thrush for the last 2 months . She has had three rounds of nystatin, which keeps it at bay but the day after treatment stops, the patches are back on her lips and on her cheeks 😭 strangely her tongue is clear. The gel to treat thrush has been discontinued, so no other treatment available. I have replaced all dummies and bottles, I don’t know what else I can do. The gp said if this last lot of nystatin doesn’t work then they will have to do further tests, so of corse I’m freaking out. What else could it be a sign of? Should I be worried? I’m so anxious it is a sign something bad is wrong with her 😭

Get some plain glycerin in the chemist. After every feed, dip a soother in the glycerin and let your daughter suck it. It clears any milk residue from the inside of her mouth and leaves the thrush with nothing to live off.
