18 month old living on crackers

Hi everyone. For the last 2 months my now 18 month old has become really picky with food.
He is practically existing on crackers, dry cereal and yogurt. He used to eat fairly well at nursery but not anymore. They've even started to offer him crackers if he doesn't eat what's on the menu that day.
He will chew on some raw veg such as celery or pepper but won't eat it; the same with fruit. He will have some fruit puree with yogurt or some diluted smoothie.
It is so frustrating and exhausting but on the other hand he has loads of energy and seems fine.
Any advice or an idea of how long this might last would be appreciated.

A doctor might tell you to just let him eat what he will eat.
He’s got plenty of energy so stop worrying and don’t whatever you do, force the issue. Meal times should be relaxed and sociable.

One day you might notice out of the corner of your eye that he picks up something you’re eating, a raisin, bit of banana, a grape, a bit of soft cheese and so on. Relaaax and he’ll soon catch up.

Buy best quality yoghurts for protein, best quality crackers for carbohydrate energy and if he’ll drink a flavoured yoghurt drink he’ll be fine. You’ll see.
