Blood specks in baby’s poo

I’ve noticed over the last 10 days, my 14 week old baby occasionally has tiny streaks or specks of red blood in his poo. He had his rotavirus vaccination nearly 3 weeks ago. He seems happy, hasn’t got a rash and seems to be feeding well, and he doesn’t have blood in every dirty nappy. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

My 20 week old has had the same on and off since she was 3 weeks. She’s breastfed so I cut out dairy incase it was CMPA … my DS had blood in his poo as a baby too and was told by GP to cut out dairy for him. DD has been referred to paediatrics as cutting out dairy hasn’t made a huge difference Both my children were/are otherwise healthy and very high centiles for weight/length

have you sought any medical advice? 10 days is a long time.

Sorry to clarify it’s not been occurring every day for the last 10 days, he’s had a couple of poos with little specks of blood in them for nearly 10 days. He is EBF

He is otherwise healthy and also on the high centiles for weight and length.
