Advice on stopping breastfeeding

Hey, just wondering if anyone has been in a similar position and can advise.

My son is 15 months old and I still breastfeed him morning and night. If I’m away from him I’ll pump for a missed feed. Throughout the last 15 months I’ve suffered a lot of blocked ducts, I treat with ice and ibuprofen but the only thing that ultimately clears them is my son feeding. Every time I’ve been away for 24+ hours I’ve ended up with a block and no pump will clear it.

I’d like to stop breastfeeding in the near future but don’t see how I can when it’s the only way to clear these. Has anyone experienced similar and what did you do?!

I would stop the feeds separately. So if it were me I’d drop the morning feed and distract with goid and a nice drink and then leave it at the very least 2 weeks before you drop the evening feed do that your body has had time to adjust to less demand.
