have you looked on iwantmymum.com? you can read bf forums for free and there is a lot on extended bfing, they did a lot of local publicity on ext bf for national breasfeeding week. Sorry screaming DD2, can only be brief.

give her a max no of feeds a day so she knows she can have some? I reckon you have to let her have some (if you want to stop do it gradually) but you can also impose limits. Also - don't sit down. Avoid chair you usually feed in. Stay out most of the day for a few days. Wear a high necked top and give her lots of other drinks and exciting food.

I've cut down my DD 18 months by saying first that I will only feed her on the sofa in her room i.e. never out or rest of the house. I offer her food or water instead. Then I said only when she goes to sleep and wakes up - down to 3/4 feeds now as a result. At 2 she will understand. I would quickly at her age or even straightaway only tell her you will feed her day or night. Good luck.

you may get the odd tantrum - my DD when I said no once, sreamed and cried and stamped her feet for 20mins. She was pacified with some crisps - decided weaning her off crisps would be easier than BF.

i wish crisps would work with my dd. i never had this problem with my first ds had him on the bottle by 6 months.

just used 5 chocolate buttons - it worked, going from 3/4 feeds to 2 from today. Must stock up.
