TT prep machine

Hi,

I've been gifted the TT prep machine from a relative. We have replaced the filter and thought it would be good to go. However, if keeps coming up with a message about 'filling the tank with cold water' in a red light. (See photo)

The tank on the left is full so not sure why it keeps displaying this message?!

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Is it because the water isn't cold enough? In that case, does the water in the tank need to be frequently topped up from the fridge?

Thanks!

What water are you filling it with? Ours did that if put boiling water from kettle in if doing a clean, but otherwise should just be normal temp cool tap water.

You need to run a cleaning cycle when replacing the filter, did you do that?

Mine used to sometimes think the water was too hot on hot days as the sun shone on the machine. Sometimes I had to replace the water with fresh cold tap water and add a few ice cubes to get it to cool down

We filled it with ordinary water from the cold tap after having left the tap to run for 5 seconds. It doesn't seem to sense that the water is there in the tank half the time!

Yes thanks, we did this. It took quite a while but we completed the cleaning cycle.

I've emptied the tank twice today to put in fresh, cold water instead and after about 30 mins, that seems to have worked. However, I didn't think one would have to refill the tank each time in order to make up a bottle...

Love the idea of the ice cubes though. Will try this out tomorrow 👍🏽

You shouldn’t need to refill the tank every time and faff with ice cubes. Might be faulty temp sensor or something.
