Hi all,
Looking for some advice or experiences. My 10-week-old was combi fed (90% breast, 10% formula) until 6 weeks, then about 50/50 until 8 weeks, and has been on full Kendamil classic since. She’s always been lower gassy, but especially since the full formula switch she’s been really struggling with constipation and painful gas. Feeding’s become a bit of a nightmare – she’ll take a few sucks then scream, and rarely manages more than 3oz a feed.
She’s a lot better on the ready-to-feed Kendamil, though it’s expensive. Gas improves but constipation is still a problem. We tried Kendamil Comfort today (for colic/constipation) and she absolutely refuses it. I’ve tasted it myself and it’s definitely less sweet than the RTF, so I wonder if she just doesn’t like the taste?!
Can babies refuse a formula just because of taste? Or would it be worth switching brands entirely, since I’m convinced the standard Kendamil is causing her tummy problems?
Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated – her feeding has become such a battle! Thanks
