Newborn hiccups

Does anybody else’s newborn hiccup daily, after each feed? Mine usually does and it’s causing me concern. He’s always gives us a good burp and doesn’t cry much so presumably isn’t in pain or discomfort but I don’t know what’s normal and what isn’t. Advice welcomed.

I think I remember my first having hiccups a lot but not after every feed. I never did find out what caused it and one day it just stopped.

Yes, all the time. I remember being worried about it too and anxiously googling it at 3am. It's fine though!

She's 9 months now and still gets the hiccups quite often, usually after chugging water from her straw cup lol.

Mine had hiccups alot because of all the air he took at a feed. He grew out of it eventually

Thank you all. It’s a really anxious time for me but thankfully I’m having extra midwife visits to try and ease some of the anxiety and get me through the first few weeks. Didn’t realise it could be like this x

I’m so glad that you’re getting extra support. I can remember feeling a bit overwhelmed when we brought out first home too Flowers

After each feeding, I usually pat my baby's back to help him burp. After about 15-20 minutes, he will fall asleep faster and not hiccup or spit up milk.
@ block blast I hope this tip works on your bae

My baby used to hiccup alot, I could feel her hiccup in the womb too and now at almost 8 months she still hiccups frequently but not as much as she did as a newborn.
