6 week old falling asleep taking bottle

My baby is 6 weeks old today, he has been gaining weight and health visitor is happy with his progress he normally loves his bottle and finishes them most of them time. Today he has only had 1 full bottle (this morning) and every feed since he is only taking small amount 20mls(ish) and falling asleep, he then wakes up crying and putting hands to mouth which he does when he's hungry so I give him a bottle and same thing happens just takes a small amount and back to sleep - should I be worried? He is formula fed and normally takes 4-5oz per feed without issue and is totally fine otherwise. Any advice welcome x

What teats are you using? We had the exact same issue when ds was around that age and using newborn teats, we switched to the next size/flow and it resolved

We're on the mam 0 teats, I tried him with a 1 yesterday but a lot of milk was coming out the sides and running down his chin ☹️ maybe just needs a chance to get used to it

How is he now @Lynx92? Has there been any improvement?

Oh that’s good news. I’m glad that the new test size has worked Smile
