Very slow growth

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and can share how it turned out…

i have twins, coming up to 8 weeks old now. My boy twin has no concerns, my girl twin was born weighing 2.1kg. She didn’t lose much weight but has struggled to put on weight and at almost 8 weeks now weighs 2.45kg (5pounds 6) so is still super tiny. She is being helped by a great pediatrician & dietician so is getting the right help she needs, i am just curious to see if I can find anyone else with a similar small babies who struggled to gain weight.

she is currently on infatrini peptisorb which she has grown a bit on but not as much as the drs would like. the milk has really upset her stomach, and I’m waiting to see whether this is just an adjustment period or the milk is genuinely not agreeing with her. Dr thinks it might be a cows milk protein allergy preventing her from absorbing the nutrients she needs to grow.

starting to wonder whether this slow start to growing in life will affect her longer term.. which I guess I will never know anyway

My sister struggled with weight gain. She was 6lb13 at birth and 7lb10 at 10 weeks. She has projectile vomiting until 2, she didn't reach the 0.4th percentile until she was 1 and stayed there until 2 when she jumped to the 50th percentile. No longer term consequences. She continued to be sick randomly until 40 when she went vegan and hasn't been sick since. We think she probably had cmpa, my mum saw lots of similarities between her and my daughter who has multiple allergies including cmpa
