Best formula for cmpa dairy trial

My baby has been on the extensively hydrolysed formula for cmpa but it's time to do the reintroduction of dairy trial to confirm it's cmpa. He was on cow and gate before the diagnosis but I never felt he really got on with it before he presented with cmpa symptoms. Are there any formulas which are a bit gentler i.e goats milk or are they all much the same?

Has the paediatrician or dietician not advised?

I believe any regular formula can be used but goats milks and comfort milks can't be used.
Goats and cows milk are very similar but 10% of babies that have a cows milk allergy are ok with goats milk. Some of the comfort milks can be broken down a little not as much as the extensively hydrolysed but could be enough to disguise a reaction to the cows milk.
If they pass the challenge you can switch to gentler milks but they aren't necessarily suitable for the challenge themselves

No, gp was fairly dismissive and basically prescribed the formula and said to do a trial in 6 weeks. Went back with another issue a couple of weeks later and mentioned his cmpa symptoms had stopped and was just told that's great. I mentioned a dietician but the GP didn't think it was necessary so currently fighting for it.

Thank you so much for this
