When did your period return if you bf?

I mean, not that I'm missing it or anything, but nearly 10 months in and it's not appeared. That sound normal? Am beginning to wonder if they stitched up the wrong bits when I had my emergency c-section

Mine didn't come back until 9 months and that wasn't really a proper period. I didn't have real periods until I stopped BFing. I have friends who didn't have periods for a year or more (extended BFing obviously).

14 months both times. That's fairly normal.

I didn't have any at all until about 6 weeks after I stopped.

4 months, but very irregular.

My DD is 15 months today, my period started last night. First one for 2 years! I only reduced to one evening feed (lasting 30 minutes) less than a fortnight ago, but had only been doing 2 feeds a day from just over a month ago.

15 months here too, after i had reduced feeding to only morning and night and even then not every morning and night iyswim

At 5 weeks {shock} lochia had only stopped for a couple of weeks.

Mine didn't return when bf DD1- DD2 is proof that bf is not a reliable form of contraception (although I didn't mind at all!).

Not, between son and daughter 1- but I must have ovulated at around 12 months if not sooner. At around 6 months after daughter 1 (she was a snacker). Can't remember after daughter 2 but possibly 8-9 months? rings a bell...

Ds is 17 mo and still no period....

He was still feeding then btw

17 months. And that was only because I went away for a couple of days and couldn't bf at all.

About 10 months and been fairly regular since. DD is 18 months.

Once I'd stopped bf with my older 2, both weaned at 13mths. dd2 is 12 wks, as far as I can see no periods is another reason for bfing

Just around a year later - still bf a fair bit too at that point, so it came as a surprise to me.
