DS's feeds are soooo short - should worry?

DS is 11 weeks, He's always been a quick feeder, never more than 10 minutes and only ever one side.

But recently feeds are literally lasting just a few minutes, maybe five at the most.

He seems happy, he's gaining lots of weight (gained 9 pounds since birth) so I'm sure he's fine but I'm finding it hard to believe he's getting all he needs.

Is this normal???

I had soopernorks DS's very rarely fed for more than 10 minutes and never took 2 sides.
they shot up through the centiles and went for 3-4 hours between feeds by 11 weeks.

I think for babies that aren't gaining it is important but if yourlittle one is contented and astisfied with what he is getting then I wouldn't worry
Sound like you are getting on really well

Ds2 was like this, always.

He's 22m, still bf, still little and often (too often ) and thriving.

Just posted the same thing. You're not alone! My DS is 8 weeks and does 10 mins too. He seems to be gaining ok, but how is this enough!

Thank you for the reasurrance - It's just so different to feeding ds1 who used to latch on and camp out for a good hour. Mind you he did used to puke for england!

My dd did the ssame as your ds1 but ds is now 12 weeks and feeds from one side lasting 5-10 mins every 2-3 hours. He weighs 19lb so I think he's gaining weight ok
