Wisdom tooth extraction and breastfeeding

I exclusively breastfeed my 4mo. He feeds a lot. Was topping up with formula but he rejected bottle around 8 weeks. Don’t pump, no energy for it and we get on just fine.

having wisdom tooth extraction coming up, nervous regarding feeding. Hopefully can feed just before and his dad look after him whilst it’s happening, feed straight after. I have heard the procedure is 40mins ish.

Anyone experienced this? Just nervous about baby being fed / also my supply don’t want to miss a feed. Can try formula & pump & dump if needed but not ideal.

Why would you need to pump and dump? Are you having a general anaesthetic?

You will be fine OP. You wont lose your supply if you dont feed for an hour. Your baby will be fine too. Like you said, feed prior to your appointment and then after, if your baby wants to.
