Gold Breastmilk Necklace that isn't £££+

I'm so proud of myself for managing to breastfeed for 1 month with my second (I combine fed with formula and pumped, and never managed anything post day 2 with my first). Might not be much to some but I'm buzzing.

I have 2 syringes of cholostrum left that I never got around to feeding him (he's 10 months now) - never had a stash as I was a pump and feeder.

I'd really like a necklace pendant made. Gold in colour, as this tends to be what I wear, but doesn't need to be gold in metal (or can be low carat). I'm struggling to find anywhere that does nice looking, but cheaper necklaces. Totally get how lovely they are and we'll made but can't justify £400-600. I'm happy spending about £200.

Anyone have any recommendations at all?

You can have jewelery made that has your breastmilk in - either in resin or glass.

How many of you getting all squeamish about breastmilk jewellery drank cow breastmilk today? Grow up and scroll on.

But i wouldn't make jewellery out of cows milk either

Whilst it’s certainly not the norm to preserve breastmilk, that doesnt mean OP deserves to have the piss taken out of her.

I had never heard of this but a google search shows there is clearly a market for it.

hope you find a good company OP.

Sorry but that is Ugh 🤮

Well you're clearly not "sorry" are you since you took the time to post your (unasked for) opinion. Away and find someone in RL to be mean to.

It’s not some niche market, it’s really common - maybe the bullies on here are far above the target age demographic. Similar to ash jewellery for the deceased: it’s become Incredibly common over the last 10 years.

I can see from my morning googling it’s fairly widespread.

I certainly wasn’t judging OP. I think the pile on and ridiculing she’s had on here is unnecessary and unkind.

I don't see any bullying 🙄

If there were any MN would have removed them.

Nobody is personally attacking this woman, just the general practice of turning milk into jewellery.

People really have gone soft.

If you don’t think that mocking and laughing at someone trying to do something to commemorate / celebrate an achievement then that says more about you. If my children behaved in that way I’d be very disappointed

Mumsnet mods aren't magic - they would only remove posts if someone reported them. I haven't, I'd prefer to call out the bad behaviour on the thread in person.
