Newborn ‘choking’ coughing while feeding then holding breath.

My newborn fed absolutely fine for the first week and then all of a sudden she started to ‘choke’ sometimes, she coughs and then holds her breath to the point we have to blow in her face and pat her back quite hard. We have been to the hospital as she had a bad episode where her lips started to go blue and been monitored overnight and was told this is normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

Reflux, possibly. Holding breath so that she doesn't actually choke if milk is on its way back up?

I ended up in A&E for the same reason. My LO was diagnosed with reflux and was started on omeprazole. He’s now 5 months and we’ve been able to stop the omeprazole and the reflux seems to have resolved.
