At my wits end with reflux

My baby is 16 weeks old born 38 weeks believe to be suffering with reflux but no health professionals seem to want to be doing any exploratory tests because she is gaining weight and meeting her milestones which if I’m really honest I have no idea how she’s gaining weight because she seems to be bringing up at least 50% of the feed if not the whole lot all the time She doesn’t have any other symptoms I’ve changed her milk multiple times nothing seems to be helping she’s had all Medication the GP can offer she throws it straight back up and I’m really at my wits end with it now I know it sounds really vain but my house is covered in sick. My car is covered in sick. She 24 seven stinks. Sick she’s put her clothes on and within 10 minutes she’s soaked. Her hair is so sticky all the time because she’s constantly rolling rolling around in her own sick she’s so sore because she’s having to have two baths today because she’s just constantly stinking of sick. I just don’t know what else to do but I can’t cope like this anymore. I change our clothes in the night. And she’s soaked again instantly and I think I changed them twice three times and after that I can’t anymore and she just has to lay in wet clothes but no one seems to wanna do anything because she’s gaining weight which I realise to say I don’t know how I’ve tried sitting her up for 45 minutes after every feed it doesn’t work. She just be sick. Nothing seems to work.

Oh dear i really empathise FlowersCake
My youngest son was exactly the same. He did end up having multiple good allergies and even now as an older child vomits/gags very easily. I think it's a physical thing ie the valve of his throat is different? I have no idea
Omeprazole helped for us and we also had another same sort of medicine. Milk thickener etc all that didn't help
My son was putting on weight regardless too. He over ate to soothe the acid reflux burn. I was lucky to have a youngish Dr who was clued up and ready to help !!

In the end I weaned early as food seemed to stay down more - heavier perhaps? Sending hugs. X

They don't really do much to investigate reflux. It's really common in babies the vast majority outgrow it. My daughter is nearly 5 and still has reflux and they aren't investigating that, we have seen several paediatricians and the view is tests are invasive, and they'll show she has reflux, we are treating her for reflux. Lets just keep treating the reflux.

I would be investigating cmpa personally, my daughter gained weight "beautifully" along the 9th percentile despite massive feeding aversions, I removed dairy and soya from my diet and she moved up to just under the 50th!

What medication have you tried so far? My daughter needed a combination of omperazole at the highest possible dose, as much gaviscon as I could get in her, lactulose for the gaviscon and domperidone which speeds up the emptying of the stomach so she couldn't reflux as much.

We couldn't move her after a feed as the act of moving her upright, as advised, made her vomit.
